The other day my brother was at our house lending us some tools. Upon leaving, he looked down at our door jam and asked what's that? We all gathered around to see what he was looking at. Lo and behold, it was a baby bat. That's right a baby bat! Ryan immmediately set out to catch it with 2 paper cups. It was rather exciting because it crawled into our entry way and wedged itself inbetween the wall and the base board. Due to the fact that our house is really old and not quite level, we have not finished the baseboard work in our entry way. So this baby bat is now in our house and fighting for its life using the base board for protection. Ryan started to pound on the base board, and the poor little bat started to squeak. It finally gave up and crawled back down onto the floor. Yuck! Ryan scooped it up and put it in a glass jar. Before I could get a picture of it (you know for proof and all) he was off to the baseball field where he entertained his players and coaches before setting it free. Just a little side note: My house really is quite clean, I don't know why it decided to visit us, I'm just glad we saw it,caught it, and got it out of here!

EEEWWW! Gross! I would have been freaking out! I'm glad that it's caught and not in your house. We sit outside on our porch some nights and see the bats and sometimes owls fly by. Interesting creatures!
okay, no more parties at your house!!! :) I can vouch for your that your house is clean, like eat off the floor clean. How are you liking your new look?
Isn't stellaluna a lost baby bat? or something like that?
Anyway, poor baby bat! NOT that I'd want one in my house -- and yes, your house is clean.:)
Bats & Snakes freak me out. Oigh, sounds like you had an exciting time!
