Carving pumpkins at our house this year was quite a treat. Both of my kids were really excited. Annika was awesome and gutted her own pumpkin. Micah on the other hand was a bit confused. I cut the top off for him and handed him a spoon, I told him to get all of the seeds out. Next thing I knew he was handing me a package of sunflower seeds to open. Absent mindedly I opened them. When I finished the dishes I proceeded to help the kids carve pumpkins. Micah was bored with the idea and was off playing. Annika was still hard at work getting all of the "guttars" as she called them out. I took Micah's lid off of his pumpkin and found a pile of sunflower seeds inside. I guess he was a little confused, nonetheless never a dull moment!

I wish my kids would have been as obdeient as Micah. How do you dt the seeds out unless you put them in first? They are such cute kids and good friends.
Fun! My kids won't touch the pumpkin "goo" (and neither will I:)) so we just paint them every year. Waaaaay less gross and stinky! I'm thinking my family has GOT to toughen up...:)
Your kids are so cute. It was good to see you for a minute the last couple of nights. We miss you guys (it's sad cuz you live 15 minutes away). You're good to have your kids carve their pumpkins. We did that last year and Kaylee didn't like the gooey mess so she would rather just paint them. Fine by me. :)
