We finally signed Annika up for gymnastics. When we signed her up, one of the coaches had to test her to see where she was at. After they were done, they told us how impressed they were with her. They couldn't believe how well she could do a cartwheel and a roundoff for her age. They were also amazed by her strength. They asked us if they could put her in an intermediate level 2 class. They told us that she would be with 9 and 10 year olds, and when she turned 6 she would start competing. We agreed, but told them if it was too overwhelming for her, we would have to change it. She loves it! Last week she climbed a rope that was hanging from the ceiling, I think both Ryan and I were biting our nails as she accomplished this task. She is very strong, coordinated, and fast. We are so grateful she is healthy, athletic, and outgoing.
Micah is really into super heroes right now. He has the hulk, spiderman, ironman, and batman figurines that are about 3 inches tall. Ask me how many times a day we are looking for them?:) Ryan is busy with school, but seems to be more relaxed this year. He has been working on our fireplace, putting rock on it. It looks really cool, he is nearly done and he is doing an amazing job!

Thanks for finally updating. :) Just kidding I know how busy you are. It doesn't surprise me at all about Annika's gymnastics. I'm glad she loves it. You guys are so cute. When do you want to get together again?
Annika is a natural at that kind of thing. She seems absolutely fearless, and is super-coordinated and strong for her age. She could go far if she keeps working at it with the same degree of enthusiasm. Michah and Annika are so cute together. You can tell they enjoy being around each other. I hope it always stays that way. Ryan's work on the fireplace has progressed slowly and is really looking great. I would have probably just slapped it together and then been ashamed to tell who did it for the rest of my life. I'm glad he is more relaxed this year. He always demands the best of himself, which is good, but cannot be accomplished quickly. I think I see him learning and demonstrating that with the fireplace. Those kinds of skills are, in many cases, transferable. We live and learn.
Glad Annika's enjoying her sport. It's good to be busy. Take care.
We missed you at craft day! Wish you could've come!
